Progressive music

Rêverie - Milan - Italy

Ny CD Revado by progressiveitalian band Rêverie com in July 2011

The professional Italian musical group Rêverie was created in 1996 by Milanese musician, composer, and guitarist Valerio Vado. The group’s objective is to create modern music while drawing inspiration from the roots of traditional Italian Renaissance and Baroque music, as well as European and Mediterranean culture. The fine fusion of traditional and electronic sonority results in an evocative sound we could call ethno-progressive.
Rêverie artistically experiments with the use of several languages in their songs, among which Esperanto, Friulian (an important North Italian regional language), Shakespearean Renessance English, and of course Italian.

The group began concerting in 1999 as a sextuor, and they have often performed on stage in the Italian regions of Lombardy, Liguria, Piedmont, Venice, and Friuli, with between two and seven musicians.
In 2011 Rêverie held several concerts in Esperanto in Esperanto meetings in Pornassio and Turin in Italy, Château Grésillon in France, and the World Esperanto Congress in Copenhagen in Denmark, in order to promote their new double CD album in Esperanto and Italian, Revado.

The group has acquired a certain notoriety in the progressive music field, which has earned them positive press critiques in Italian and abroad.
Several of their songs have been aired on Italian and foreign radio.
