Sen timo, Kajto's 9th album.
In August 2023, Sen timo (without fear), Kajto's 9th Esperanto album was released in digital format by Vinilkosmo.
A remarkable album, completely different from the previous ones by the great collaboration of participants.
It contains 15 wonderful songs, played and interpreted by the duo Ankie and Nanne, as well as recordings with many guest musicians and singers who contributed to the project.
We find in particular the very special song “Sen timo” written by Nanne in which he tells, that as a child, after the Second World War, he could play outside in complete freedom and without fear.
Along with this song, Kajto presents the 'Sen timo'o manifesto:
"Playing in peace - running, Dancing, jumping and singing without fear... it a right of every child!!!"
On the occasion of its recording, many friendly musicians and singers collaborated, including famous Esperanto artists as well as former members of Kajto, Marian Nesse and Marita Kruijswijk.
Likewise, in the song 'Mia Koro estas Birdo', the ex-members of Pugh's Place, the first pop group in which Nanne had played, took part in the recording.
You can also listen to the voices of children in 4 songs, these are the pupils of the school La Grande Ourse of La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland who wrote the texts themselves.
'Sen Timo' - the 9th album - a new step for Kajto and certainly not the last.
In this album KAJTO is:
Nanne Kalma and Ankie van der Meer
For the accompaniment of their singing, Ankie and Nanne used the following instruments: accordion, banjo, guitar, concertina, double bass, mandolin, synthesizer and shawm.
Recorded and mixed at Windrose Studio in Gorredijk (Friesland, The Netherlands) between April and July 2023 and in the house of Polish priest Kazimierz Noculak in Bobrówko (June 26-30, 2023).
