Mikaelo had already participated almost entirely in the collection “Oraj Kantoj”, as well as in his solo album Esperantujo mia..., his collaboration with Elena Puĥova, all the texts in Amu min by Ĵomart & Nataŝa, and several texts in the album Ukrainaj kantoj en esperanto. This establishes him as our most productive artist from Eastern Europe!
Sixteen new songs, only one having been previously recorded, arrive to enrichen this impressive list, and they are present in this new CD, equally rich in texts as it is well composed and arranged.
Is he a poet? A musician? Certainly both. But Mikaelo judges the texts as especially important, and tells us that “a poem must be the event, not its description”, since the music is the decoration for fables, dramas, jokes, satires, and other pamphlets that Mikaelo goes as far as to dedicate to Pushkin!
For this recording, Mikaelo surrounded himself with Evelina, Tatiana, Vera, and the Spring, the main inspiration as well indicated by the title Printempo bluĵinsa (Bluejeans Spring). Mikaelo has sought and found the springtime humor in the rutine passage of time, and he treats even the disagreable moments with a smile, and his succeeds in that brilliantly.
