ĴeLe - Schwedt (Germany)
The family duo ĴeLe has existed since 2009. Ĵenja is the daughter and Lena the mother, both are musicians. Lena comes from Ukraine, where she became an Esperantist in 1984. One year later she already wrote Esperanto songs, for example “Nur ĝojo” and “Dank’ al vi”.
Ĵenja was born in 1990 in Germany and grew up learning Esperanto.
ĴeLe’s music is mostly lyrical, very melodic, pleasant-sounding, suitable for every generation, accompanied by piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, metallophone, and acoustic percussion instruments. Almost all the songs were created by Lena (music and lyrics).
ĴeLe has published five albums so far:
- Tra la sonĝoj (2010)
- Sentokaoso (2013)
- En Esperantujo (2014)
- Kukoj kun fromaĝ’ (2017)
- Stacioj de l’amo (2020)
All the albums were recorded in the city of Schwedt in Germany in the Studio of a Musical Art School where Lena works as a teacher and pianist.
ĴeLe has so far performed around 50 concerts in 10 countries during various Esperanto events, festivals, UKs, IJKs.
ĴeLe is currently preparing a sixth album with current Ukrainian songs in Esperanto about the war against Ukraine.
Vinilkosmo works little by little on the digital edition and publication of ĴeLe’s albums.
