The album Povus esti simple is Persone's third, one of the most beautiful rock style works in Esperanto. It was published in 1996 as a CD. It contains 13 titles including one acoustic song, "Nun mallumas ekstere".
The album Povus esti simple is out of stock, but now it is available in digital form here.
DJ Kunar wrote about it saying: "... Compared to the first two albums (62 minutoj and En la spegulo), the style has noticeably hardened. I'd no longer call this pop rock, but clearly (guitar) rock. It doesn't mean that Martin Wiese, Anders Grop, and Bertilo Wennergren have suddenly lost the feeling for melodiousness - on the contrary I would even say that the sound is both more melodious, more rock, and denser than ever. There are no longer any traces of the soft rock 80s in it - the sound is totally out of the 90s, and better reflects the general development of rock music at that time, also outside the Esperanto sphere.
Unlike the previous album En la spegulo, the songs are not largely about (lost) love. This time maybe the photo on the back of the CD, showing the three Persone members in a city street, illustrates very well what it is about: ordinary daily life with all the problems, ugly situations, and all its sadness. The chorus of the first song briefly gives the generally valid message 'Povus esti simple, sed estas ne' ('it could be simple, but it isn't'), so the title of the CD itself is also aptly chosen. But now I don't want to quote from the lyrics, it's too hard to decide which are the 2 or 3 most masterful lines of the 13 titles, and in any case, enjoy them completely yourself...."
Povus esti simple two decades after its appearance has lost almost nothing of its vitality and actuality. If you are interested in modern music and Esperanto rock culture, then this is the right choice for you!
