The Esperanto community has been waiting for a new album from La Perdita Generacio for too long. Concert albums have been released too rarely in Esperanto. Esperanto-USA is proud to contribute to repair this shortcoming by encouraging, along with Vinilkosmo, the release of this unique concert: LPG at the National Congress in Seattle (July 2018).
Ĉiuj ni amegas Usonon presents all 13 songs from the Seattle concert, plus a special extra track written during the post-congress camp at Mount Rainier National Park. Among the songs are several of the favorite LPG songs in unique versions, and for the first time with drums on stage. Five of the songs are unreleased, and one is an adaptation of a song by Amanda Palmer. Verbal interludes are also added to give an authentic concert atmosphere, and so all those who attended may relive the immortal experience.
La Perdita Generacio, during its seventeen years of existence, has become one of the most legendary Esperanto bands. They have won a number of awards for their art, and their audience is located on all continents. Describing LPG’s music is difficult, sometimes it’s fast and danceable, sometimes soothing and caressing. The texts cover a wide range of topics from political satire through the difficulties of romance to sentimental life. Due to its Nordic origin, catchy melodies and many harmonies, LPG has sometimes been compared to ABBA.
Judge for yourself, but don’t miss this milestone album in the globalized Esperanto culture.
