Pop - Rock
Martin & la talpoj - Stockholm, Sweden.
Martin & la talpoj ( Martin & the moles) is a new band founded by Martin Wiese after the long inactivity of Persone.
Martin Wiese is well known in the Esperanto music mouvement. He started out in the international rock band Amplifiki en 1986,
and later became the lead singer and guitar player in the esperanto rock band Per-sone when Börje Lund left it.
After Persone became inactive, Martin began performing solo, and even while Persone was still going stong, he started his
solo career with the release of the second volume of Vinilkosmo-kompil’ in 1996 with the title Vivo duras sed vi molas
(life is harsh, but you are tender).
At the same time, Martin is also a member of the band Jetpilot where he sings in
English.
Martin & la talpoj is more or less Martin Wiese’s solo project, supported by various musician friends who help him record his
songs and even accompany him on stage (for example, during his unforgettable hit per-formance during the Esperanto Cultural
Festival in Denmark in 2009).
Martin & la talpoj carries Persone’s mission on, namely to create extraordinarily good pop rock, electric accustical alternative music with valuable lyrics in Esperanto.
Martin & la talpoj’s first album, Pli ol nenio (more then nothing) was released by Vinilkosmo in 2007. It is a must album.
And as a talented graphist, Martin designed his own portrait on the sleeve.
