Ĵomart and Nataŝa are a duo that began singing in Esperanto in 1987 in Kazakhstan (ex-
USSR). Before that date, from 1983, Ĵomart sang alone at first, then with his Esperanto
rock group Kredo .
The duo originally comes from Kazakhstan, where they performed many concerts in various
Esperanto meetings.
That is where they produced their first vinyl record, Somera mondo (Sommer World) in
1989 on the Soviet label Melodia.
In 1991, Ĵxomart and Nataŝa emigrated to Sweden, where they produced three cassette albums and
two CD's: Valso por amikoj (A Walse for Friends) (VKKD28) in 2000, and Amu min
(Love Me) (VKKD65) in 2003.
The present CD, ĴomArtaĵoj – La ruĝa albumo (The Red Album) is the first of a projected
series of three.
They collect the favorite songs the duo recorded on cassette and CD, now out of stock.
These versions have been rearranged and sung in a more present-day style. Most of the songs in
this collection are old ones, known and appreciated by the public. Some of them have been
changed along the way, because they have been singing them for twenty years! Naturally the
arrangements are more modern, up-to-date, and richer than the previous versions.
The recordings are purely accustical, with the intention of creating the same warm and intimate
atmosphere that we find in their concerts.
It is up to you to discover, listen to, and appreciate the first CD in this collection!
