Eleven years after its release, Vinilkosmo and La Blua Papilio (an alternative Brazilian label) present the compilation "Esperanto Subgrunde" (Esperanto Underground) for free listening.
A Franco-Brazilian coproduction presenting fifteen anarcho-punk, hard rock, grind core, crust core, trash, … Read moreetc. from four countries:
Piĉismo (Ukrainia), Araukana, Gepatra Averto, Stomaka Korodo and DHC (Brazil), Alaksio kaj la Galaksioj (Canada), La Konkoj, La Bestoj, La Valsistinoj, La Drinkomaniuloj, Toksa Frenezo, Araŝ-Mumut', Violenta Topaloff, Traŝ-Bog' and Hom-Faktor' (France).
As a bonus, four titles :
- "Esperanto" by Araukana that appeared in 1999 on their vinyle EP.
- "La bonaj vortoj" by Piŝamadurjes (Pixamanndurries, Catalonia) that appeared in 1995 on Vinilkosmo-Kompil' Vol.1
- "Korespondi deziras" by Piĉismo that appeared in 1996 on Vinilkosmo-Kompil' Vol.2 '
- "Amromanco" by Bruego la ruĝa (Varcarm le rouge, France) that appeared in 1996 on Vinilkosmo-Kompil' Vol.2
The Esperanto Subgrunde project came about thanks to the collaboration of two independant lables, Vinilkosmo in France and La Blua Papilio in Brazil.
All the bands and collaborators participated voluntarily in this compilation in solidarity with the Brazilian association IBCC of São Paolo for their projet “Libereco” (freedom), and all the sales profits have been dedicated to it. This association helps low-income women get cured of breast cancer. The CD cover, jacket, and disc art were made by one of them, Lourdinha Borges, who wrote:
“I wish that all these pictures would become symbols of strength and hope.”
Because the CD is almost completely out of stock, the musicians of the bands and the labels decided together to put this virtual edition of the compilation on the cd1d platform in 2011 for free, with four bonus tracts from other discs and compilations.
