Pop - Electropop - pop alternative
inicialoj dc (i.d.c.) - Frankfurt-am-Main - Germany
inicialoj dc/initials dc (i.d.c.) is a musical project created by Eric Languillat in 2003 and based in Frankfurt-am-Main (Germany).
Nourished by alternative pop and modern electronic music, inicialoj dc mixes these influences into its colorful melancolic electropop music, where accustic guitars dance with spicy drum mashines and ancient synthesizers out of another century.
After the first concerts in 2003, with only a minidisc, an electric guitar, and a self-produced album (Popcorn for Diane, in French and English), the project rapidely developed thanks to the synchronized videoclips projected with
each song. Songs in Esperanto began appearing at the same time, and inicialoj dc’s concerts became a regular feature in Esperanto events.
Continuing these activities on both the local art scene and in the international Esperanto community, two minialbums followed in 2007 (OK and 16), and the album Propaganda in 2009, in which Esperanto really plays en important role. And also presentation of several videoclips on the Web have confirmed inicialoj dc as a videomusical artistic project.
The album Urbano is inicialoj dc’s first one entirely in Esperanto, and it is a milestone in the development of this original project.
